With the arrival of a new cohort on campus, I see many questions flying around on NTU confessions and U-Wave. Some get lost on campus (I still do too 😆), some lose their belongings and don’t know where to look, some have trouble figuring out the bus loops, etc. Here are some apps which may help you out (based on the 1.5 years I have spent here).

Academic

  1. Blackboard: useful to access the study materials posted on NTULearn
  2. Coursera: Free online courses to help you complement your learning. Some MOOCs are also counted for credit transfer.
  3. PressReader: useful for browsing magazines and newspapers. Note that the NTU library provides a great collection free of charge to students.
  4. LinkedIn Learning: You can log in using your NTU credentials to access this. More info: https://libfaq.ntu.edu.sg/faq/263148
  5. ReadEra: allows reading books for free, offline in PDF, EPUB, Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX, RTF), Kindle (MOBI, AZW3), DJVU, FB2, TXT, ODT and CHM formats
  6. Microsoft OneDrive: useful for keeping backups of your study materials
  7. Google Keep: keep your notes synchronized across devices
