Pigs Can Fly — A Sequel
Do you believe that pigs can fly?
A few weeks back, I received an incredibly cute ‘angel pig’ from a friend. While admiring the sheer creativity of the gift, I remembered an article another friend of mine had written sometime back. Titled ’cause pigs can fly’, it elegantly explained the whys and wherefores of making pigs fly. In brief, it was about the need to ‘believe in the possibility of the impossible in order to survive’.
All of us have some seemingly impossible dreams within us. We have talents that, if nurtured properly, could stun the world and bring about a positive change in society. Yet we have all kinds of excuses; What if I fail? What will the others think if they find out that I’m over-ambitious? What if it requires too much work? Yes, these excuses make sure that we don’t end up looking like fools. However, if they let our dreams and talents crumple and die within us, if they make us exit this world as unsatisfied individuals, we end up being fools once again.
