Pastel Hued Dreams

A poem about waiting

We wait for the day with dreamy eyes,
When your hands will entangle with mine,
And we’ll walk happily down the aisle,
To walk off into the sunset with a smile.

We wait for the day when distance doesn’t mean a plane ride,
When sharing a meal doesn’t have to be over Skype,
And we would watch the same sun rise and shine,
While your warmth mingles with that of sunshine.
