Some tips to help you get started

Dear reader,
I wonder what brought you here. Perhaps you stumbled on this while scrolling through the Facebook newsfeed. Perhaps this landed in your e-mail. Whichever way it is, I think we have something in common — an interest in becoming a better version of ourselves.
Public speaking is a very important skill to develop in that process. It is a journey of a lifetime, but we can start right now. The Gaveliers at Gavel Mora have put together some links to help you on that. You will find speeches from World Champions, innovators, activists, artists, actors, and even someone like you or me. Some would make you cry; some would make you laugh out loud; some would make you look at the world with a different mindset — and will hopefully help you craft your own story.
I still remember how I struggled to speak in the round-robin session (a chance to speak for 20 seconds) of the first Gavel meeting I attended. That was in 2014…
